Your Dogs First Visit With Us

Daycare:

What to bring:

For your dogs daycare visit, you will need to bring their collar or harness and a lead. Please have this on them when you arrive. We will meet you at the front gate at your booking time. If you are running late, please let us know so we know when to expect you. If we are not at the gate when you arrive, please call or message us on 0424368770 and we will come out to meet you. We will then take your dog through to our secure yard and help them settle. For safety reasons we do not let owners into the yard - it can disrupt the other dogs and your dog may be protective of you. If you would like to view our facilities at a meet and greet, please let us know so we can arrange it.

Once your dog has settled, we will update you on their progress. If there are any issues eg. they are not settling or not getting along with the other dogs, we will communicate this with you. We will also give you a proper run down of their visit when you collect them. For more videos and pictures, you can follow our Instagram or Facebook page which will be updated during the day. If you have any questions or would like further updates on your dog, please contact us.

What to expect:

After your dogs first visit they will probably be very tired and will want to rest. Some dogs can be quite nervous as well and may not drink as much as they normally do while they are here so they may be quite thirsty (I will always communicate this to you when you pick them up). If they are normally quite nervous or do have separation anxiety, they may also have runnier poos than normal due to nerves. They should be back to normal in a few hours or by the next day. To help settle their tummy you can add some sweet potato to their dinner.

Overnight Stays:

What to bring:

For your dogs overnight stay with us, you will need to bring their collar or harness, lead, bed and food (if you're not purchasing the Lyka meals). If they have a special toy or blanket that brings them comfort please supply that too, otherwise all play toys will be provided by us. You will need to include feeding instructions and any medications they need. If there are any other important details (eg. if they are scared of storms etc) that will help with your dogs stay, please let us know. We want to make sure they enjoy their time here and will do our best to stick to their normal routine.

If you are running late or if there are any changes to your drop off or pick up times, please let us know so we know when to expect you. We will meet you at the front gate at your booking time. If we are not there when you arrive, please call or message us on 0424368770 and we will come out and meet you.

What to expect:

Staying in a new place can take some adjusting. All dogs are different and some dogs adjust quicker than others. We will always be patient with them during this time to help them settle into their new environment. We will always keep you updated on their progress while they are here. Depending on the duration of their stay, they may also need a little time to adjust back into their normal routine, when you get them home.

We will provide updates via sms throughout your dogs stay and will post regularly on our Instagram and Facebook pages. We know how hard it can be leaving your best friend so if you have any questions or would like further updates on your dog, you can always contact us.
